Looking for a new home? Well, if you have cash to burn the perfect new residence might await you in Lake Bluff.

Singer and songwriter Richard Marx has listed his nine-bedroom, 29,475-square-foot, David Adler-designed mansion on Lake Michigan for $18 million.

Thirty-thousand square feet? That's like 15 of my home. Imagine the heating and cooling bills!

Marx is a Highland Park native who had big hits in the late 80s with songs like "Endless Summer Nights," "Hold on to the Nights" and "Satisfied". Since then he's continued recording but also has written big songs for other performers like Keith Urban. And, as we all know, songwriting royalties can add up.

So what about the home? The Chicago Tribune tells us:

[The] mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1931 and designed  for meatpacking scion Lester Armour and his wife, Leola, the mansion originally was part of a 73-acre estate. Today, the mansion sits on 5 lakefront acres. Marx...bought the three-story mansion in 1997...and have since modernized it. Features include eight full baths, six half-baths, 19 fireplaces, a finished basement, walnut parquet floors, a home theater and an attached 8,000-square-foot studio, which Marx has used as a recording studio.

You can take a look at some incredible pictures of the mansion here. And heck, there's a link to contact the real estate agent if you're interested.

If not, well, just enjoy some Richard Marx.
