Rockford Police say they are on the scene of yet another body found in the Rock River. Rockford Police tweeted:

Rockford police are investigating. This incident follows a report from late this morning of a woman's body that was pulled from Rock River in Loves Park by fisherman. The body was found near the Riverside Boulevard bridge and Martin Park.

Investigators say the fishermen were able to start CPR when the woman was pulled in to the boat. She was taken to the hospital after emergency crews were able to get a pulse.

 

UPDATE 7/26/18 6/21/18 : We have just learned that the woman pulled from the Rock River in Loves park on Wednesday has died. According to a report from WIFR-TV.

The woman pulled from the Rock River by fishermen Wednesday has died. Hintz says an autopsy on 59-year-old Yvonne Challieh of Machesney Park is pending.

The death is under investigation by the Loves Park Police Department.

It's unclear if these two incidents are related.
