Safest Suburbs In The US: Only 1 Illinois City Makes The List
Everyone, regardless of economic circumstances, want to be safe wherever they choose to live, and cities and towns that can promise a high level of safety are naturally going to have a lot of people interested in potentially relocating there.
A new list of rankings of the safest suburbs in the United States was recently released by financial planning company SmartAsset.com, and in reading through it I quickly noticed there was only one Illinois suburb that made the list of the top 20 safest suburbs.
Here's what SmartAsset.com looked at to determine their rankings:
SmartAsset ranked 360 U.S. towns within 45 minutes driving distance of a major city based on the rates of violent crime, property crime, drug overdoses, traffic deaths and excessive drinking to determine America’s safest suburbs.
