Are These 5 Popular Chocolate Chip Cookies the Best in Rockford?
Besides grandma's house, where around Rockford will you find the most amazing chocolate chip cookies? You might find some new favorites on this list.
No matter how you like them, big or small, crunchy or soft, fresh out of the oven, or fresh out of the fridge, there is no cookie as loved as much.
History of the Chocolate Chip Cookie
It's almost hard to believe that the most amazing cookie ever, happened by complete mistake. The baker responsible for the most widely-accepted failure is Ruth Wakefield. Ruth owned the Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts, and was making cookies that she'd dropped little pieces of a chocolate bar into. She thought they would melt into the cookie but instead, we got the 'chocolate chip'.
The Chocolate Chip Cookie Was Invented by Mistake
It wasn't long before the Nestlé company came looking to 'buy' Ruth's recipe. They struck a deal and agreed to pay her with a lifetime supply of chocolate, according to epicurious.com. In 1939, after acquiring Ruth's recipe, Nestlé invented the teardrop-shaped chocolate chip we all know now.
Failure leads to changing the world.

Hako is a great name for what's going on over here at 7969 Forest Hills Road in Loves Park. Clearly, there are some very blessed hands, hearts, and ovens at work here.
Of course, they're laid out in a halo shape.

The only chocolate chip cookie on this list that you don't even have to get out of your car to get. I feel bad for people who don't live in a Beefaroo town; none of these cookies nor the best cheese fries on the planet
If you don't know, it's time you do, get to know Beefaroo.
Didn't see this one coming. I have had plenty of meat from Pinnon at 2324 N Court Street in Rockford, not once did I think about grabbing a chocolate chip cookie. It turns out that decision wasn't a good one.
According to @bonesnaps_cranekicks on Instagram, I'm failing.
If you live in #rockford and dont know about these you #fail at life
