The historically woeful poet Edgar Allan Poe has his work brought to life at this eerie speakeasy in Beloit, Wisconsin.

The mystery of Edgar Allan Poe and his life is one that many are puzzled by. You probably remember reading some of his work in grade school like The Raven, The Fall of the House of Usher, Annabelle Lee or The Tell-Tale Heart. Regardless, any Poe poem I had to read would always weird me out.

I always felt horrible about how his life went down. For someone to tell such deep stories, his life was one of constant heartbreak and tragedy. That's probably the reason for his work being so dark in tone and why some of his stories are going to be brought to life at a speakeasy very close to us!

Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy Coming to Beloit, Wisconsin

This is a totally immersive event that makes me wish every day was Halloween. All drinks are inspired by 4 of the iconic poet's stories. There will also be Poe historians and mixologists who lead you through the experience.

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed myself more! It was amazing!! No one moved the entire time. - Jill Bennet Gauss

No one moved? As in, they were so invested? That sounds kind of wild.
