BBB’s Dennis Horton On Shortchanging, Fake Websites
Have you had the experience where you pay for something with cash, then you're told that due to a coin shortage they can't give you change back from your purchase?
Maybe you haven't. The problem, according to Dennis Horton, Director of the Rockford Regional Office of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), is that many people have. And, in some cases, the store has promised to give their change to charity, but has no proof of ever doing it.
That's one of the topics that Dennis brought up during our interview on Tuesday morning.
Other topics include the dangers posed by fake financial advisor websites, and how "storm chasers" are scamming people by doing damage to roofs they've offered to "inspect for damage."
