The Rockford Police Department has announced some of the arrangements  following the loss of Officer Jaimie Cox

Ofc. Cox was killed in the line of duty on early on Sunday morning. Here is what we know, so far regarding the arrangements, based on information released by the Rockford police dept.

SCHEDULE:

Tonight (Monday night) at 8:00 p.m.: The movement of Officer Cox will take place from the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office to Fitzgerald Funeral Home. The route will begin from the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office, 420 W. State Street. The movement will travel East on State Street to Mulford Road, and South on Mulford Road to Fitzgerald’s Funeral Home, 1860 South Mulford Road.

Friday, November 10, 2017: Visitation for Officer Cox will take place from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at  the First Free Evangelical Church, 2223 N. Mulford Road.  Law enforcement walk-through scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. A police funeral service will begin at the First Free Evangelical Church, 2223 N. Mulford Road.  A procession will follow immediately after the service. The details on the procession route have not been released yet..

Rockford Police Department says that law enforcement members and the community are welcome to attend.

Motorists are advised to expect delays or use alternate routes in the areas surrounding Spring Creek and North Mulford Roads during visitation hours and before and after funeral service. Local law enforcement agencies will be directing traffic in the area.
