If the Alpine Road construction has bothered you all summer, brace yourself it's about to take another turn.

NOTE: As always, I myself made the above graphic for this post. If there's any artwork you need doing, my rates are reasonable.

The good news about the Alpine Road construction project is that it's almost done. The bad news is that it's going to get worse before it gets better.

Here's an excerpt from the city of Loves Park's Facebook page:

As one of the final stages of the Alpine Road reconstruction in loves Park, Harlem Road will be closed between Alpine Road and Mesa Street beginning August 14. The closure is expected to last one month. An official detour route will be posted along Windsor Road and Elm Avenue. Access to Schnucks can still be made off of Alpine Road and the Southwest entrance off of Harlem Road. Access to BP will be maintained along Alpine Road. Traffic on Alpine Road will be able to access Harlem Road to the east.

Bottom line here is if you don't have to use the intersection of Harlem and Alpine, don't.

If this construction has been affecting you at all just take a deep breath and realize that it'll all be over soon and it's going to be totally worth it. That stretch of road was complete garbage before all this. It'll be nice to take a smooth ride down Alpine sometime this year (hopefully.)
