1440 WROK Radio and the Midwest Wildcats will be sponsoring a free throw and 3 pt. contest as part of the 1st Annual Boylan Girls Basketball Reindeer Games Tournament.  This is the first girls Christmas Tournament to be held in Rockford. The tournament will be held on December 27 and 29, 2018 at Boylan Catholic High School.

There will be 2 divisions for each contest, boys and girls. The winner in each category will receive a $75 cash award. All who participate will have their name entered in a drawing for a variety of prizes donated by local business and organizations.

CONTEST RULES AND GUIDELINES:

FREE THROW CONTEST [Thursday, December 27, 2018]:

  • Register online below to avoid lines at the contest site. A specific time for you to shoot will be given. Pre-registered participants will go to the front of any line to shoot at their assigned time. Deadline to register online is December 22, 2018
  • Participant Groups: Ages 10-17 and Ages 18 to Adult
  • You may register on-site the day of the contest between 9:00am-11:00 am
  • Each person will shoot for 2 minutes and record the number of free throws made.
  • Top 5 people, in each category, will have a shoot-out on December 29, 2018 at halftime of the championship game to determine the overall winner. In case of a tie, “sudden death” shooting will determine the winner.

3 POINT CONTEST [Thursday, December 27, 2018]

  • Register online below to avoid lines at the contest site. A specific time for you to shoot will be given. Pre-registered participants will go to the front of any line to shoot at their assigned time. Deadline to register online is December 22, 2018.
  • Participant Groups: Ages 10-17 and Ages 18 to Adult
  • You may register on-site the day of the contest between 11:30-1:30 pm.
  • Each person will shoot 12, 3 pt shots from the wings and top of the key.
  • Top 5 people, in each category, will have a shoot-out on December 29, 2018, at halftime of the championship game to determine the overall winner. In case of a tie, “sudden death” shooting will determine the winner.
