Boylan And WROK Announce New Christmas Basketball Tournament

The Reindeer Games are coming to town.

WROK is happy to announce that we will be the media sponsor for Boylan's Inaugural Reindeer Games Girls Christmas Tournament taking place Dec. 27 and 29.

The teams invited include

• Freeport Aquin
• Beloit Memorial
• Belvidere North
• Grayslake North
• Marian Central (Woodstock)
• McHenry
• Winnebago

We have worked with Boylan's Girls basketball coach, Paul Perrone, to bring a top-notch, unique basketball tournament to the Rockford area. It will be Boylan's first time hosting a Christmas tournament and will be the only Christmas tournament for high school basketball in Rockford.

One of our goals of the tournament will be to include the community in the Reindeer Games. That will include broadcasting live from Boylan High School and holding contests that members of the community can compete in. WROK and the Wildcats Basketball Program will be hosting 3-point and free throw shooting contests for the general public, the finals of which will be held during the championship game.

Tickets to the Reindeer Games can be purchased at the door. Admission will be $5 per session ($2 for students) or $15 for the entire tournament ($6 for students.) There will be four sessions for the Reindeer Games, two each day.

We're very excited to join Boylan in bringing this tournament to the Rockford area. We know this year will be a success and look forward to seeing it grow.
