In case you have not heard, tonight will be the final broadcast of The Roger Hedgecock Show. After nearly 30 years in the business, Roger has decided to retire from the daily radio grind. His show has been heard on WROK for most of the past six years from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and always has been a fan favorite among our listeners. We wish Roger well in his retirement as his surfs into the sunset.

I've told him this personally, but Roger is a big reason why I became such a big talk radio fan. At the time he filled in for Rush in 2003 for a month I was doing a lot of driving. While I already was a Rush fan, I also became hooked by Roger's delivery and style. From then on I've been a big, big fan. He's been a wonderful voice espousing the values of liberty free market ideas, and prosperity. And I'll never forget the 2010 live national broadcast of his show from Giovanni's! Thanks, Roger.

Replacing Roger in the WROK lineup will be The Hugh Hewitt Show. We've previewed the show quite a bit, but also had the opportunity to talk to Hugh this morning:

Welcome to the party, Hugh! We're really looking forward to hearing your show on Monday night.
