I recently stumbled upon an article from 2017 that talked about things that residents of each state had been Googling. In specific, the piece shared what each state typed in after the words "Why Do."
With my kids in their mid and upper 20s, my wife and I have found it's increasingly difficult to get them interested in Halloween costumes, and the costumes we loved seeing on them when they were little "just don't fit anymore," according to them.

The study doesn't explain any particular reason as to why it's numero in Illinois other that it's not a dying thing like I (and many others) assumed it was.
