The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau invites community members to come show their love for the Rockford Region on Wednesday, June 1 at their annual luncheon.

The theme of the annual luncheon is 'For the Love of Rockford' and the keynote speaker will be Peter Kageyama, author of For the Love of Cities and Love Where You Live. He will touch on what motivates citizens to make their city great and how those residents can make their city better.

"This luncheon is going to be a huge celebration of all the good and exciting advancements taking place in our region and its travel and tourism industry. The opening of the UW Health Sports Factory is a momentous occasion for Rockford and her residents, and we’re honored to be hosting the first event at the facility, said RACVB President/CEO John Groh. “Slowly, then seemingly all at once, there’s great momentum in our community, especially along the riverfront in downtown Rockford. These are times to celebrate, reflect on how we got here and then double down and push forward as we create the community we want to live in and attract visitors to.”

The luncheon will be Wednesday, June 1, and begins at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $65 each of $600 for a table of ten and will be catered by Prairie Street Brewing Company. For more information visit www.gorockford.com/lunch.
