Lamborghini’s Paint Job is Crazy Cool

Maybe, like me, you're old enough to remember when Earl Scheib would paint any car for $99.

Well, judging by what I've seen of his work, German graffiti artist Rene Turrek would probably charge you a bit more than Earl would have. Turrek made a splash last year with an incredible paint job on a late model BMW. Well, now he's back with another masterful take on the automotive paint job.

Not unlike his first demonstration, Turrek's work on a Lamborghini Gallardo changes color when exposed to warm water or cold water thanks to a thermochromic paint layer applied after the initial art-work. He claims to be able to change the temperature at which the paint changes.

And, it turns out that Mr. Turrek has a soft spot for a certain member of The Avengers, namely Captain America:

Sorry, Earl Scheib, $99 won't even buy the cupholder in that car.
