Halftime Was Better Than the Game

A couple of weeks ago, I shared with you a video of the Ohio State Marching Band doing their thing at halftime. It was a spectacular performance with a rock and roll theme.

One reason for posting the video was to delight our own sports guru, Dave Schmidt of Stateline Sports Hub, who is unfortunately from Ohio. The other reason was simple. It was wildly entertaining.

Kind of going with a similar theme today: Make Dave happy, showcase another outstanding performance, and quite frankly, if you know how badly that game turned out for the Fighting Illini (they were crushed 55-14), you know that this was really the only worthwhile moment of the day. It's just too bad the band didn't take their cue from Don McLean's American Pie and refuse to yield the field.
