Amazon Distribution Center To Be Built in Beloit

A 1 million-square-foot building in Beloit will house an Amazon distribution center.

The world's largest retailer will build its distribution center on an 80-acre parcel in Beloit's Gateway Business Park, according to a report from the Rockford Register Star.

The Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation sold the land for $80.

Amazon will announce a construction timeline and an estimate of how how many jobs the distribution center will create some time in January, according to the report.
