For the year-round Chicago Cubs fan, the excitement about the 2018 season began about a week after the end of the 2017 season.

I will admit I haven't seen a single new TV show this season. In fact, the new episodes of my favorite old shows are piling up on the ol' DVR. I'll get to them soon. In the meantime, decisions already are being made by networks about which series will live and which will die...
