Thousands of Illinois high school athletes got the bad news many thought was coming.

IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson joined the show to talk about the immediate future of high school basketball in the state of Illinois.

Judge Paul Fullerton denied the temporary restraining order involving the IHSA's Return to Play guidelines, filed by a group of parents on behalf of their children.

Well, it looks like they want to play. Today, parents and advocates of student athletes plan to file a lawsuit to pressure Illinois lawmakers and educators to re-open schools so fall sports can begin.

With all the focus on what COVID-19 restrictions are being put into place by professional sports teams, the efforts by local schools and the IHSA to make fall sports possible may be overlooked.
