In this Wisconsin home-alone scenario, there isn't a happy ending because the dumb parents go to jail.

There are some features that look as if the last 32 years have been put on pause.

You may have seen it pointed out that Kevin McCallister's parents in the movie Home Alone (set here in Illinois) would have been looking at serious trouble for leaving an 8 year old to knock around that fabulous house all by himself.

As someone old enough to remember seeing the movie Home Alone in the theater, I recall as we exited the theater overhearing a woman say to her husband "If you and I did something like that, and left a kid behind at home, we'd be going to jail!"

If you're an Illinois homeowner, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if you told me that you immediately thought "So does every ****ing person who owns a house in this state!"

Buzz McCallister from 'Home Alone' is inviting you to enjoy an overnight stay at his famous family home in Winnetka, Illinois this month.

Nearly 30 years after its initial release, Home Alone remains one of the most beloved films of all time.

After reading the list, I may have to move to Wisconsin or Missouri since my favorite Christmas movie is also a favorite in those two states.
