Who knew that the folks at NASA had such a good sense of humor?

A year or so back, I posted a piece in this space called "Some Illinois Towns Have Weird Names." Some of the Illinois towns mentioned as being weirdly named were: Goofy Ridge, Oblong, Lowpoint, Muddy, Ransom, and Preemption. Time to make the move from weirdness to lewdness.

Like many others, when I'm enjoying a bag of beef jerky, I seemingly always encounter a mythical creature, and of course, think of ways I can prank it. We have a few laughs, then the mythical creature hurls a boulder at me to cartoonish effect...

We're all familiar with the term "shoplifter." It's someone who steals from a retail establishment. A "loss-prevention officer" is a term used to describe those employed by a store to stop the aforementioned shoplifter. What you're about to see is a department store in the Netherlands...

Another side-effect of our video technological progress has got to be the proliferation of internet "scientists." Don't get me wrong, there are lots of real scientists out there posting things online, but...there are more than a few goofballs with hi-def recording devices at their disposal...

Who wins this bracket? I'm going with the somewhat amused and unbelievably patient woman in this video. I'm fairly certain my wife would have run me over with the cart and left me for dead had I tried this with her while we were shopping. This is for anyone who lives with, deals with, or, might themselves be an obsessed sports fan...

I love slow motion video. I love super slow motion video even more. I've been a fan of the "Slow Mo Guys" for a while now since discovering they combine super slow motion with something else my inner teenage boy thrills at--blowing stuff up...
