Rockford's Discovery Center Museum is handing out free 'Discovery At Home Activity Kits' to help kids get back on track with their education this summer.

Discovery Center Museum is the nation’s 5th Best Museum for Families according to USA TODAY/10Best.com, and one of 12 museums included in Forbes.com’s article, "The 12 Best Children’s Museums in the U.S."

One of my favorite Discovery Center Museum memories is asking my wife and kids if we could just stay a little longer because I was having too much fun to leave.

Rockford's Discovery Center welcomed visitors from all 50 states, Washington, D.C. and several foreign countries, with two-thirds of non-member visitors coming from outside the city of Rockford.

To celebrate Illinois' bicentennial, the organization Illinois Top 200 lets Illinoisans vote every two weeks on the most inspiring leaders, greatest books, top businesses and much more.
