When I give you this warning, I speak from personal experience. Beware of treacherous black ice that is lurking on many Missouri highways this week.

Officials said 14 people were transported to area hospitals and 45 others were evaluated at the scene. No major injuries are reported.

Just a quick reminder for those who haven't yet hit the streets to begin their day: it's slippery in spots, and will remain so for the remainder of the morning.
