By "these guys" I mean the much hated, highly dreaded, invasive fish known as the "Asian Carp." Michigan's Department of Natural Resources has a million dollars bounty waiting for the person or persons who come up with a way to keep the Great Lakes free of them.
We've all heard the tired old adage about there being only two seasons in Illinois; winter and road construction. Well, go ahead an add another one: Skarping Season. First, you'll need an invasive species like...oh, I don't know...let's go with the Asian carp. Then, you'll need a few boats, some sports equipment, and maybe a few hundred beers.
It seems like the effort to stop Asian carp from reaching the Great Lakes has been going on forever. And, unfortunately, it appears it will continue for a while.
