Help Rockford Kids This Christmas at the ’12 Hours of Salvation Toy Drive’

Rockford's biggest toy drive is back on December 6, 2024 at Lou Bachrodt Automall, and we need your help to make it magical!

The Most Wonderful Event of the Year

For me, the holidays are a season of magic, joy, and generosity, and this is something my husband and I work hard to instill in our two young daughters as well.

We have several conversations with our kids about how for many children in our community, the joy of the season isn’t guaranteed. They understand that many children will not receive presents on Christmas morning if we don't step up to help.

This is why Q98.5’s “12 Hours of Salvation Toy Drive” is such a cherished tradition for my family, and for the entire Stateline area. I truly believe it's a chance for all of us to come together and ensure every child experiences the magic of Christmas.

There’s something truly special about walking into the Lou Bachrodt Automall and seeing hundreds of toys surrounding a massive Christmas tree and knowing each one represents happiness waiting to happen for a boy or girl right here in our community.

This year’s toy drive marks our 27th year of supporting local families. The Salvation Army of Rockford and Winnebago County distributes every single donation, ensuring that gifts stay in the Rockford area. These toys are more than just presents—they are reminders of hope, kindness, and love for children aged infant to 15 years old.

Now it’s your turn to be part of the magic!

Join us on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Lou Bachrodt Automall by the CherryVale Mall.  Bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate, and Santa Claus himself will be there to thank you and take a pic with your family.

If you can't make it in person on Friday, December 6 to donate toys, no problem! You can order toys online and have them shipped directly to Lou Bachrodt:
