2 Pumpkin Train Rides Your Family Will Love in Wisconsin This Fall
'Tis the season for fall fun with your family, and if you want to take your outdoor adventures further than visits to local apple orchards and pumpkin patches, check out these two pumpkin trains in Wisconsin!
Family Fun in Wisconsin
I'm an Illinois girl whose family spends most free weekends at our cabin in Wisconsin, but spending time up there in the Fall is quite different than during the summer. We can't take the kids boating and fishing...we can't spend our days swimming in the lake or playing in the sand, so what should we do to keep the kids entertained?
Find some cool seasonal activities to check out, and these two pumpkin train rides in Wisconsin are definitely on our list!
Pumpkin Train Rides in Wisconsin
1. The Great Pumpkin Train at National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin
This popular train ride takes you through the museum's scenic grounds, where you'll be greeted by pumpkin patches, scarecrows, and other fabulous fall photo ops. The museum also has live entertainment, games, crafts, trick-or-treating, historic trains and other cool attractions to check out, so you definitely need to plan on spending the entire day there.
2. Riverside and Great Northern Railway Pumpkin Express in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
The Wisconsin Dells is always a fun place to go with the family at any time during the year, but the Pumpkin Express is always a crowd pleaser in the Fall.
This charming ride take you through the woods near the Wisconsin River which is usually bursting with beautiful fall colors, and it also stops at a pumpkin patch where kids 12 and under can pick their own free pumpkin of gourd. I must warn you though, this train sells out fast each fall, (trust me, we've missed out on getting tickets a couple years in a row), so you better buy them now, here.
