So much for the McRib's farewell tour; it appears that the whole thing was a ruse. Maybe McDonald's was trying to throw us off the scent, or perhaps they just can't quit us.

We'll probably never know, but a couple of days ago on X, McRib Locator posted this update: "McRib soft launches have started today." For long-time fans of the saucy sandwich, those six words are like a bat signal made of delicious barbecue sauce.

Where to Find the McRib in Wisconsin

So, of course, I jumped on mcriblocator.com and sure enough, there have been confirmed McRib sightings at the following Wisconsin spots.

  • 1622 Milton Avenue in Janesville
  • 104 Wells Street in Lake Geneva
  • 1029 North Main Street in Oregon
  • 240 East Jefferson Street in Burlington

Keep Your Eyes Peeled in Illinois

All four are in Wisconsin, but it's worth keeping an eye out here in Illinois as well. A few people have been hinting that at least one might already be in Rockford, and another could be in Loves Park.

The McRib Chase Continues

Nothing is official yet, but that's half the fun of the elusive McRib chase. It disappears, it reappears, and every year, it seems to have a flair for the dramatic. In a way, it's kind of like chasing after Bigfoot if Bigfoot were a sandwich. A delicious rib sandwich. Either way, it's starting to look like the McRib can't stay retired.

Next thing you know, we're going to start seeing really blurry pics of the McRib. Too far? Ok fine.
