Having a bad day? Watching this adorable video from a K-9 TSA agent's retirement send off at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport is a great to brighten it!

The Perfect K-9 Retirement Party

Rex, a six-year veteran of the TSA's canine unit, recently hung up his leash and vest after a stellar career sniffing out explosives and keeping the skies safe at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport.

Rex and his handler, Regina Eisenberg, have been working and living together for five years, and Eisenberg told CBS 58 in Milwaukee;

We don't treat them as pets at home because they're working dogs, and they have to understand that you come to work, you work. You come home, you rest.

Rex was one of three explosive-detection canines working with TSA at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, but he is the first K-9 agent to retire, so they had to plan a special send off for a very special boy.

Why Did Rex Retire?

Eisenberg recently accepted the position of K-9 Supervisor at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, so while one half of this bonded pair will be advancing in her career, the other half will be soaking up all the rest and cuddles that he couldn't receive the last six years on the job.

So how do you send a furry, loyal employee off to retirement in style?  By throwing an epic retirement party that would make any dog drool.

Would you agree this is the perfect celebration of a good boy who dedicated his life to keeping people safe? I sure think so!

Here's to you, Rex! May your days be filled with endless fetch sessions and belly rubs!
