Christmas in Rockford

During the holiday season, the Rockford area comes alive with fun and festive things to do for families and adults alike. From breakfasts with Santa and gorgeous light displays, to Christmas parties for a cause, it's impossible to be bored during the month of December in Rockford...and I love every stinking minute of it!

If you still have room on your holiday social calendar, here's one more event you must add to the list.

December Events at The Olympic Tavern

Some of the things that I love most about The Olympic Tavern in Rockford, besides its great food and atmosphere, is the amount of special events they host throughout the year AND how they always step up to support this community.

This December alone The Olympic will be hosting:

Grinch Pop Up at The Olympic

On Thursday, December 4, 2025, The Olympic is going full-on Grinch "with a twist" from 5 to 8 p.m. Not only will the entire tavern be decked out in Grinch décor, but there will be a festive costume contest, raffles, and giveaways.

Ready for the best part? A portion of the food and drink sales during the Grinch Pop Up will be donated to the Rockford Family Peace Center, which is a vital resource supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in this community.

Make plans to stop by The Olympic at some point on December 4 for the Grinch Pop Up, I'm sure all the holiday cheer will make your heart grow three sizes at least.
