
Massive Western Snow Storm Hits Illinois and Wisconsin in 2 Days
Some parts of the upper Midwest could have blizzard-like conditions this week as another late Winter storm heads towards Illinois and Wisconsin.

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for northwestern Wisconsin and parts of eastern Iowa beginning early Wednesday morning (3/19).
Blizzard Conditions Likely in Parts of Wisconsin, Iowa
Whiteout conditions are possible during a narrow band of heavy snow and strong winds predicted in northern Wisconsin when gusts could hit 50 mph+. In Eau Claire, an inch of snow per hour is possible during the storm's peak.

Madison is expected to have severe thunderstorms on Wednesday (3/19), and then the rain will transition to snow on Wednesday night with an accumulation of around an inch of heavy, wet snow, according to the Weather Channel.
Winter Storm Nyla Heads for Northern Illinois
For the Rockford region and the Chicagoland area, Winter Storm Nyla could bring a mixed bag of weather fun with thunderstorms, strong winds, and more accumulating snow possible.

The latest forecast from the Weather Channel is basically showing all four seasons happening in the next 4 to 5 days.
Roller Coaster of Weather for Rockford This Week
On Tuesday (3/18) it will feel like Spring again when the high could get in the upper 60s and near 70, but that won't last long.
Wednesday the high is only supposed to reach the mid-50s when there's currently an 80 percent chance of thunderstorms in Rockford, according to the latest Weather Channel forecast.
Wednesday night rain is expected to change over to all snow, with about an inch of accumulation expected in the Rockford area, but not much if any accumulation is currently predicted for Chicago.
Dangerous Conditions on Lake Michigan
There is a Small Craft Advisory currently in effect for Lake Michigan from Winthrop Harbor to Calumet Harbor, Illinois until 4 am Tuesday (3/18), when waves could occasionally hit 8 feet, according to the Weather Channel.
