3 Hidden Ice Cream Shops You Must Try In Wisconsin
Wisconsin may be most well known for its lakes, cheese, and beer, but make sure you don't make the mistake of overlooking its incredible ice cream scene the next time you visit.
Wisconsin's Best Ice Cream Shops
I'm 100% an Illinoisan who can't resist a road trip north, and as far as I'm concerned, no vacation is complete without a stop at a local ice cream shop and I am always on the hunt for new ones to try.
Here are three Wisconsin ice cream shops that I always hear people raving about, and plan to visit very soon!
Sassy Cow Creamery in Columbus, Wisconsin
Sassy Cow Creamery is first and foremost a traditional and organic dairy farm, and its ice cream is made in house with milk from their own happy cows making it super duper fresh and delicious. Plus...they have a Spotted Cow ice cream flavor that I am dying to try! (Don't worry, it's not beer flavored!)
Babe's Ice Cream in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
People say this little ice cream shop is one of the cutest in Wisconsin, and they have 32 flavors to choose from every day! Babe's also offers vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, soy-free, no sugar added and all-natural flavors, but the specialty ice cream cakes are their true claim to fame, and man, they look delicious!
Purple Door Ice Cream in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Purple Door Ice Cream actually has two locations in Wisconsin, one in Milwaukee and one in Mequon, and pride themselves in "creating a quality, delicious product". Their ice cream is handcrafted in small batches, and the flavors are as creative as they are delicious. I saw one of their locations even has a Sweet Corn ice cream!
So, now the the only question left is; which of these ice cream shops should we hit up first?!?
