For some reason, I've always been fascinated by world records. I think it's because I used to check those books out of the library. To break one has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. I just don't have those kinds of skills.

What if I told you there's a world record-breaking event coming up in Illinois that involves karaoke? Yeah, that does sound fun and interesting. It will give local amateur singers the opportunity to sing in front of a huge crowd.

The World's Largest Karaoke Party is going to be held at a newer concert venue in Chicago, The Salt Shed. It's going to be held on Thursday, August 8th from 5 pm to 10 pm. Admissions is absolutely free for participants and bystanders.

It's going to work like any other karaoke party in Illinois, except a lot bigger. If you want to sing, you'll have to sign up. You write down your name and what song you want to sing. Then put it in the bucket. The host will pick the singer.
