The famous Inn in Illinois from the movie "Groundhog Day" will be featured in a new movie to be released later this year.

Woodstock was a neat little town in Illinois even before it got famous. I've stopped there a few times on my way back from Chicago to Rockford since it's right off of I-90. It's a nice little trip out of town if you want to blow the stink off.

Of course, having the movie "Groundhog Day" filmed in Woodstock has put the little town on the map. They have a big celebration on February 2nd every year for the holiday on which the flick is based on.
Not only has Woodstock caught the eye of fans of the movie, but also Hollywood, because they came calling again. The inn from "Groundhog Day" will be used in another movie. This one will be Christmas-themed. That explains the holiday decorations in April.

According to Daily Herald...
The Cherry Tree Inn played host to filming for another holiday movie during the week of April 21.
“Exes of Christmas Past" is the second holiday-themed movie filmed at the bed-and-breakfast in recent years.
The movie will be a rom-com with a spin on the Christmas classic, "A Christmas Carol." They have been filming in other locations in Illinois, too. Expect to see it out on streaming services during the holidays. It's always cool to see places you know on the big screen.
