Not the ending that friends and family were looking for, but a missing persons story from the Chicago area has an ending. DuPageCountySheriff

Sad news in the DuPage County, IL area as the remains of a local woman missing since 2017 have been found.

Here was the post from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office back in 2018:

In mid-December of 2017 investigators learned that Cheyann may have been in the area of the Mallard Lake Forest Preserve in Hanover Park, Illinois, during the timeframe she was last seen. On December 22nd, 2017, the Sheriff’s Office conducted a large scale search of the forest preserve. At the conclusion of that search Cheyann was not located, but it was determined that another search would be necessary when weather conditions were more favorable. - DuPage Sheriff's Office

Cheyann Klus was traveling into Chicago back in November of 2017, and that was the last time her family and friends saw her. After years of searching my DuPage authorities and other area law enforcement, the search ended with the remains of Cheyann Klus were found.

The news reached her family who have been hoping for the best, for years. Her mother, Mariah Klus took to social media to break the news:

Dear Friends & Family,
On behalf of the Klus family, we would like to extend our appreciation to the DuPage and Cook County Sheriff’s departments, as well as the other agencies involved in the search for Cheyann. We have been looking for Cheyann, and information related to her disappearance, since she went missing over 5 years ago. While it was not the news we were hoping for, we have received confirmation from law enforcement that Cheyann’s remains were found.
A sad ending to this story, but the family and friends of Cheyann have some closure.
