When I think about it, the idea of a billion of anything seems like a farfetched number. There are a whole lot of zeros in that number. The only thing that comes to mind is the McDonald's sign that reads "Over A Billion Served" referring to the company's burger sales.

I was trying to think of any other food sales that have reached that level. I couldn't come up with any off the top of my head. Pizza is my favorite food. I was trying to think about how many I've eaten in my lifetime. Of course, it's nowhere near a billion.
Every time I walk through the frozen food section at the grocery store, I'm amazed at how many different options of frozen pizza are available. I wonder how many have been sold worldwide. Well, I found a company in Wisconsin that's sold an outrageous number of frozen pizzas.
Palermo’s Pizza in Milwaukee started out as a family-owned business serving Italian food from their family's recipes. After a few years, they decided to leave that business and concentrate on making and selling frozen pizzas. The move really paid off.
The company makes 500,000 frozen pizzas every day. That's a long time that I wouldn't have to worry about making dinner. Overall, the business has sold one billion frozen pizzas in total. That's a whole lot of late-night snacks.
