Rockton Has an Ice Rink That is Open and It’s Stunning!

Thanks to community helpers and volunteers in the Rockton area, the outdoor Rockton Ice Rink is officially open. With the weather the way it's been, looks like we should have some nice ice for quite a while!

With the Rockton Ice Rink just NOW opening, that was squarely on Mother Nature. But like I mentioned earlier, things are cold...damn cold, so let there be ice!

Community help got this rink up and running...Over the last few weeks, the organizers simply put out messages on their Facebook for help:

Anyone available to lend an extra set of hands tonight? We need help lifting this liner onto a trailer to get it from Beloit to Rockton. Meeting at 6:30pm. Let us know if you can help.

 

Finally the weather is turning favorable for ice. So this Friday(1/27) at 4pm we're looking for volunteers to help roll out the liner and flood. Let us know if you can make it

 

We're still in need of volunteers at 4pm tomorrow to help roll out the liner and flood with water. No experience necessary.

The Rockton Ice Rink is located down by the public boat launch next to Highway 2.
