New Ping Pong Venue Opened In Chicago
When I was growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, all the kids in my neighborhood spent as much time as possible playing outside. When you were forced inside because of weather or something else, we would rotate going to each other's houses.

Pretty much most of my friends had what they called a "Rec Room" in their basement. That was a fancy way of saying a place for the kids to hang out so they wouldn't bother the parents. That was our home base of indoor fun.

Each person's basement had a different feature that everyone enjoyed. Maybe it was a pool table, pinball machine, dart board, and something like that. I believe the most popular one was a ping pong table. That was hours of fun.
You won't find too many ping pong tables at people's houses anymore. I can't remember the last time I played or even just saw one. People still enjoy playing they just don't get the opportunity. Well now, there is a place to play in Illinois.
In the Windy City, there's a new social club called Spin Chicago. It's like a pool hall but with all ping pong tables. Actress Susan Sarandon is one of the founders. Not only can you play table tennis but they also serve food and beverages.
They host tournaments and lessons. You can rent a single table for you and your friends or set up a full event for your company or organization. It sounds like a fun night out. I can't wait to grab some buddies to check it out.
