Saturday September 24th at District Bar and Grill in downtown Rockford, our friends in Sunset Strip will be rocking the house for a good reason. Here's the story about The Live R.E.A.L. Foundation , a 501c3 organization, and how is came to be.

I started the Live R.E.A.L. Foundation after my son Alex died 4 weeks shy of his 21st birthday from a fentanyl overdose in 2019. We did not know he had an opioid addiction until the Sheriff knocked on the door to say he had just brought our son back to life with Narcan. Unfortunately, Alex had gone too long without enough oxygen to his brain causing him to never breath on his own again. - Bev Pomering Founder/Executive Director Live R.E.A.L. Foundation

Winnebago County alone lost 148 people in 2021 due to a drug overdose. This past July, Winnebago County had more people die from a drug overdose than we did from any other non-natural cause. Our nation has 1 person die from an accidental substance overdose/poisoning EVERY 4 MINUTES bringing the total for 2021 to over 107 thousand people. GoLiveReal
