Illinois Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Postpones Inductions Ceremony
The next class of Illinois Rock & Roll Hall of Famers will have to wait until 2025 to be inducted because of issues at the venue.
Illinois Music Venue Temporarily Shuts Down Postponing Events
In theory, the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is a cool thing, especially the museum. I highly suggest any music fan to plan a visit. Of course, like anything many people don't agree with how it's run or the list of inductees through the years.

Illinois has a rich history of music, so there are many musicians who are worthy of getting inducted. Unfortunately, they may never get their chance which is sad. Realizing that this is happening to our local talent a few people decided to do something about it.
That was the birth of the Illinois Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. That way all the deserving musicians from our state will finally get their chance to be honored. It's been a huge success so far. I actually went to the ceremony a few years ago when Cheap Trick was inducted. it was really cool.
The class of 2024 was set to be inducted this fall. Unfortunately, they'll have to now wait until 2025 for their induction because of a major problem with the venue. The Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet has been temporarily shut down because of issues.
The EPA has shut down the theatre because of environmental issues. Apparently, there's pollution in the air inside the venue caused by the spread of asbestos. It's so sad because it's a cool old little theatre and this could be financially devastating for the business.
The theater has already begun thinking about the problem and upgrading the building to prevent from it happening again. They hope to have it up and running by late this fall which is good news.
