Illinois Movie Theaters Host Bring Your Own Popcorn Bucket Day
An Illinois movie theater chain is celebrating National Popcorn Day with a special bring your own bucket promotion.
Bring Your Own Popcorn Bucket Day At Illinois Movie Theaters
I know a lot of people enjoy watching movies at home. Streaming services are so convenient but for my money, I'm a big fan of watching flicks on the big screen. That's how they were meant to be seen. Unfortunately, our choices in Rockford aren't good.

Of course, going to the movies is all about the whole experience not just the movie itself. Right on the top of the list are the snacks. They just taste better at the theater. The sizes are huge. Grab yourself a bucket of popcorn, your favorite candy, wash it down with a slush, and you're living the life.
There is one big problem with going to the movies, everything is so expensive at the theater. Sometimes, your snacks will cost more than the tickets. That's a big reason why people stay home because it's a lot cheaper.
Well, the Cinemark movie theater chain in Illinois wants to help you out with the cost of snacks. To celebrate National Popcorn Day (January 19th), they're hosting BYOB (Bring Your Own Bucket). I got your attention, didn't I?
On that day, bring any container up to 400 ounces (equal to 2 extra large popcorn) and they'll fill it for just $5. It doesn't even have to be an actual bucket along as you can put the tasty snack in it. Sounds like it's time for a trip to the movies.
