This winter there's a new unique way to enjoy holiday flicks and that's to check it out at this popular drive-in movie theater.

I love going to see movies on the big screen. That's the way they're meant to be seen. My favorite place to see one is at the drive-in theater. Luckily, we have a couple not too far from Rockford. I'm so happy they've made a comeback.

In the past, the drive-in movie theater was a summer-only thing. They'll usually kick up in early spring and are done by Halloween. Now, a popular outdoor screen is hosting holiday movies for November and December. They started with the program last year and it was a huge success.

Hitting one of the holiday movies at the McHenry Outdoor Theater would be a blast. Many of them I never had the chance to see them on the big screen. Plus, the whole winter weather thing could be a slight twist in the evening.

The McHenry Outdoor Theater is a great place to watch a movie. If you've never been, then I highly suggest checking it out this fall or winter. I think the whole drive-in movie during the winter months would be fun for the whole family. Here's the schedule for this year.
