I couldn't even imagine working in security at an airport. That has to be one of the hardest jobs out there. Every single day, someone is trying to sneak something on an airplane that is banned or even sometimes illegal. Plus, the suspects come up with new creative ways all of the time. How do they even stay on top of it?

TSA unveiled its top-10 ‘Best Catches’ list for 2025, ranking the most peculiar items discovered and removed from airports nationwide.
Surprisingly, neither Chicago airport made the "best catch" top 10 list for 2025. Last year, Midway Airport was part of that honor the year before. Their entry was TSA discovering a vape inside a tube of toothpaste. That was creative, but very messy. I wonder if it cleaned your teeth while you smoked it?

This year, Illinois was represented by a surprise airport. It was the Quad Cities International Airport in Moline. First of all, who knew the Quad Cities were home to an international airport? Clocking in at number 5 was a knife stashed inside a knee brace. Nice try, but it didn't get by the TSA. That sounds like a scene out of the movie "Roadhouse." The original, not the remake.
