The Barn is owned by Amy Morton, whose last name is synonymous with great steaks. Amy is the daughter of Chicago-born restaurateur Arnie Morton — founder of Morton's Steakhouses.

The Barn Steakhouse is located in an alley that runs East-West parallel to Davis and Church and is accessible from Oak and Maple Streets in the heart of Evanston.

The restaurant can be a bit tricky to find. The Barn is a brick structure with an old green-blue barn door that is directly next to their front entrance.
