Illinois Bar With Unusual Name Serves Up Delicious Menu With 3 Standout Dishes
It's the name of this Illinois riverfront eatery that grabs your attention right away but wait until you see these 3 things from their menu that blew me away.
It's been a minute since my wife and I got excited about a road trip just for food, but it's happening right now. If you've heard of this place, I want to know more. If you've eaten or drank either of these items that I can't wait to try, I want your review.
If you've never heard of this place, then you're just like me and you're ready for a trip to the Peoria area.
We'll start with the name of this place,
Kuchie's on the Water
I was fairly certain when I saw the sign for this Peoria, Illinois riverfront bar and restaurant, that the name couldn't be pronounced as it appears. Guess what? You do. Once you get past the fun and laughter that is this singing Disney slogan they have (appropriated) at Kuchie's,
[...] everything's better down where it's wetter.
yes, once you're past that, it's these three things on the menu at Kuchie's on the Water that just made my head explode.
The first thing that got me was the Bloody Mary drink options with all the extra edible additions. And I love that you can switch out the drink for a house lime margarita if you're not a tomato juice fan.
This next one is all the food fun but with a margarita instead.
The second thing that got me was the things they do with pretzels at Kuchie's on the Water.
Yes, that is a huge pretzel under all that cheese and bacon.
Let's take your pretzel-loving heart out for a cruise just a little. How about a giant buffalo chicken stuffed pretzel?
or, the giant pizza pretzel.
They have a pretzel stuffed with prime rib and pulled pork that you could have smothered in beer cheese and bacon.
Kuchie's even has the perfect pretzel for Taco Tuesday.
The third thing that blew my mind was these shakes at Kuchie's.
I can't get to Kuchie's on the Water fast enough. Kuchie's is located at 579 Wesley Road in Creve Coeur, Illinois which is just south of Peoria. They're open Wednesdays through Sundays. Be sure to visit kuchies.com or hit them up on their socials, including Facebook, before stopping in.
It is called Kuchie's "on the Water", here's that better where it's wetter part, the view from the deck.
