Illinois Googles This Phrase The Most On Valentine’s Day

Does love really exist?  Based on what we're searching online in Illinois the closer we get to Valentine's Day, I'm not so sure.

If your parents are still together after decades, or you’ve been lucky enough to see your grandparents grow old together, you probably have a pretty strong belief in love. I know I do; my parents have been together for over 20 years, and I’ve never known anything different.

Watching them and their relationship, I’ve always believed in love because theirs is so strong.  When Valentine’s Day rolls around every year, I'm always curious to what people are searching online.  Whether it's for sweet gifts, ways to show their love to their partner, or how to break up with someone, I love to see it all.

While many states are Googling “romantic movies” or “poetry,” do you know what Illinoisans are Googling?  "BREAK UPS". Why?

Are we trying to find a way to get a nice gift and get out?

Are we just curious if valentine's day is a popular day for break ups to happen?

either way, it's so, so heartbreaking.

It's easy to question your relationship, especially when it comes to love.  But to know that so many people around us are questioning the same thing, makes me concerned.

Valentine's Day is a holiday that we should celebrate the power of love, not the potential that it could crumble in the blink of an eye.

So, this Valentine's Day, let's try to think positive and talk to your partner!  If you truly believe a break up is worth it, do it.  Do what you feel is right!   Just know love does exist and you deserve it.  Sometimes, it just takes a little longer to find.
