If you want to feel the holidays just days before Thanksgiving, this week will give you a reason to start getting in the spirit.

Canadian Pacific's legendary Holiday Train will travel cross-country, filled with music, lights, and plenty of holiday cheer.

There are stops set for Illinois and across the midwest of the US, intending to raise funds and donations for food banks in North America.

The train just got started, too, as its first stop was on Friday in Maine. The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will pull up in 13 states, including Illinois, with four in the Land of Lincoln, 13 more in Wisconsin, and another 20 in Minnesota.

Each Holiday Train stop features live, free music from performers such as American Authors KT Tunstall and Tyler Shaw.

Here are the Holiday Train stops in Illinois:

  • Franklin Park on November 26 from 7p-7:30p, at the South side of Ruby Street railway crossing with performers, American Authors & KT Tunstall.
  • Pinegree Grove on November 27 from 9a-9:30a at Village Hall at Railraod Street & Reinking Road with performers, America Authors, & KT Tunstall.
  • Byron on November 27 from 12p-12:30p at Tower Road with performers Tyler Shaw, and Shawnee Kish.
  • Gurnee on December 7 from 5:15p-5:40p at 4460 Old Grand Avenue with performers The Lone Bellow and Tiera Kennedy.

Some of the Wisconsin stops include:

Sturtevant, Wauwatosa, and LaCrosse between December 7 and 9.

Minnesota Holiday Train stops are in cities like:

St. Paul, Minneapolis, and Thief River Falls from December r10 to 17.
