Don’t Look Down: America’s Tallest Observation Deck is in Illinois

For the record, I don't believe I have ever done this, surprising as it might be.

I certainly don't have any memory of this, so who knows, maybe as a kid I went here but not recently.

What I'm trying to say is, from what I recall, I'm not sure I've ever been to the observation deck at the former Sears Tower.

Far & Wide ranked the Tallest Observation Decks in America and said that the now Willis Tower is the tallest in the USA.

Located 1353 feet above the ground, The Ledge is the spot if you want to get a good look at everything around you.

Overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan and offering views spanning up to four states, The Ledge Chicago features all-glass boxes extending 4 feet out from the Willis Tower. Located on the 103rd floor of the famous building, The Ledge is part of the Skydeck observatory.

Apparently, the observation deck at Willis Tower is so popular they're actually renting out the entire floor for private parties. How cool is that? In case you're wondering, the website didn't provide details on the cost. Not cool.

If you are just visiting the Skydeck, adult tickets are $30 with kids' admission listed at $22.

For an optimal Ledge experience for all guests, Ledge visit times for parties of 3 or less will be a maximum of 60 seconds per party, and for parties of 4 or more will be a maximum of 90 seconds per party.

So what they're saying is bring a 4th person and get yourself an extra 30 seconds on The Ledge. I'm sold!
