It's not just a Chicago phenomenon. This new survey has uncovered a startling fact-nearly 1 in 3 Americans admit to cheating on their partner.

Chicago residents and their apparent infidelity are one of the biggest reasons for the high "cheater score" of 83.2, a metric that reflects the prevalence of cheating behaviors in a given area.

That's not the only factor probably contributing to the score, as 77% of Americans say they cheat on their diets more than anything.

Schoolwork is the second, with three in four people admitting they cheat, whether it be by looking up answers online or by plagiarizing.

The third thing people cheat on the most is the weirdest of the bunch: cheating at the store checkout.
