I've never heard of having a flea market in the middle of the night, but the Boone County Fairgrounds in Illinois is about to host a big one. We have all the details.

Illinois Flea Markets

While Flea Market season never ends, it's the summertime they're visited most often. There's never a shortage of treasure and trinkets to find if you're willing to sweat out a long day on some concrete or blacktop surface.

Flea markets tend to be something my wife and I will spot while we're out doing other things and then have to stop. At the last flea market stop, we found two sets of different Chicago Bears cocktails glasses, which included a set of commemorative Super Bowl XX glasses.

We also found a carnival glass trinket. Carnival glass items are hard for us to pass up.

Shopping for one-of-a-kind items at a flea market is no fun when you're sweaty and uncomfortable. Finding a spot to keep cool is the hardest item to find. And if you brought your kids, you can count on way too much whining about the heat.

Here's a chance to avoid all of that hassle and shop all night, with no chance of getting a sunburn, as the event advertisements state.

There are hundreds of flea markets throughout Illinois, and most of them will NOT be open with these hours, so this is an opportunity you shouldn't miss.

The Belvidere Mid-Night Flea Market is just one night only, Saturday, June 17 from 3 pm until Midnight. The event is being held at the Boone County Fairgrounds 8791 Illinois Route 76 in Belvidere (just east of Rockford).

Antiques, collectibles, furniture, estate jewelry, and every other kind of item you can think of will be available under tents in the open air and indoors.

Tickets are just $6 and kids under 12 are free if they're with an adult. Tickets are available to buy at the event. Parking is free. There will be places to grab drinks and snacks, too.

The Most Bizarre Items Ever Stolen From Illinois Residents

My mom once told me that "people will steal anything that's not nailed down." Times certainly have changed since then. The thieves now have nail removers.
