At Least 44 Hooters Locations Now Closed Throughout the United States

According to USAToday, 44 Hooters restaurants have vanished from the Hooters website since mid-January.  The claim from this Atlanta-based chain is that these were "underperforming stores".  Several states in the Midwest have been hit with the news, including Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.

While these closures are taking place, the company stated that they are still planning on opening more Hooters locations around the world, are planning to provide guests with great options on the go and launching Hooters frozen products that will be found at grocery stores.

Sadly, this seems to be just the norm now for news as similar closing information was shared about Red Lobster recently.  JC Penney's had a few closures already in 2024.  A bit more shocking was the news that Walmart and Target closed several locations in the past year.

List of Hooters Restaurants That Are Now Permanently Closed

Most states only saw a few restaurants close over the weekend and throughout the first part of 2024, while others saw multiple locations shutter.  Texas has the highest number of closures and now has 16 restaurants listed as "permanently closed".
