Walmart has announced that very soon they will be closing all of their locations in Missouri and Illinois on the same day so you'll need to plan accordingly.

In a press release, the corporate wing of Walmart made an announcement and it affects every store in Missouri and Illinois. It specifically was dealing with their schedule for the upcoming holiday months and there's one day you need to know about when none of their stores will be open in Missouri or Illinois.

Ever since 2020, Walmart has chosen to NOT be open on Thanksgiving and that will be true this year as well.

Walmart also announced they will be working with the Salvation Army once again for their red kettle program outside of nearly all store locations in Missouri and Illinois. They said last year they helped the Salvation Army raise more than $34 million dollars to help feed and clothe the less fortunate in our communities.

At least now you know as you make holiday plans that shopping on Thanksgiving Day at Missouri and Illinois Walmart stores will not be an option. Thankfully (literally) their employees will be able to enjoy that day with their families again.
